About the style
Carlos Apitz’s works are based on POP Art, which not only includes the style or way in which you draw or paintwork, it also includes industrial reproduction methods as a form of expression. If in the 60s to the 80s serigraphy, photography, and photomechanics were used, in the 21st century, these techniques were replaced by the digital age and other reproduction methods.
In Juan Dollar, Carlos Apitz applies a mixed technique that combines hand painting, reproduction, digital drawing, acrylic, and more, with elements redrawn by hand or digitally and colored in various ways.
Juan Dollar has a limited edition of 150 units in each size, but once printed, it is intervened by hand. Finally, this personal touch makes each piece unique.
